About the artist

Paul Placial is from Los Angeles, California and lived in the city of Ventura for 40 years. He is 59 years young, clean and sober, and is a member of the New Life Church community. He has lived in Kingman for 4 years and loves the desert. Paul is an amateur photographer and won his very first contest through Arizona Highways. He is also five classes away from attaining an Associates of English at MCC.

Many instructors at MCC’s Neal Campus Kingman have touched his life, but Paul would like to acknowledge Professor of Art Ann King in particular. Paul says she burst open his world with her genius and creative capabilities to not only teach in powerful, fun, and meaningful ways, but to see his life through a lens of opportunity, artistic expression, and a desire to travel the world.
