Transformation

You’re all alone . .

Maybe not physically. Or maybe at times, you are alone physically.

Either way, you definitely feel alone.

That’s how you’ve always felt for as long as you can remember.

You’ve tried everything to find others like you. At least everything you can think of so far . .

But to no avail. What else can you do?

You just sit at home and daydream all day. You think and ponder . . . about anything from anytime . .

And in doing so, all you do is waste time. Precious time.

You’ve met a few friendly faces, but they aren’t exactly like you.

You’ve found that you can relate to each one of them in various ways . .

But for you, that’s not enough. You want someone whom you can relate to exactly.

Is that wrong? What’s wrong with that? Isn’t it normal to want that? Surely, who doesn’t want that? . .

But technically, this is impossible to find . . isn’t it? No two people are exactly alike, because it’s virtually impossible for two people to have experienced the exact same experiences in a parallel manner from childhood to young adulthood.

You specifically are looking for an individual with  the same personality type – and preferably of the same age . . as that’s the closest you can possibly get to finding someone you can relate to, to the utmost amount.

But in the meantime, why not talk to the people whom you can relate to regarding the matters that they can relate to you with?

Even if they can’t relate to you fully, they can still relate to you in certain ways . . and individually, they can meet each of your needs.

But no, you want the perfect person, so you just brush the thought aside. Well, usually . .

sometimes, you might say; “Okay, I’ll start doing that!” But you never do . . because you’re not an ideal doer . . just an ideal thinker.

It just becomes one of the many passing thoughts in your sessions of daily daydreaming. You never put your foot down. Or rarely put it down. And you ultimately rarely call them as a result.

And as for finding others who are just like you, you once had the idea to share your work with the world. But due to various factors, you never do that either.

You don’t know where to begin, which one to begin with, and the distraction makes it incredibly difficult for you to stick to it – and see it all the way through to its completion . . so you’re deterred from even trying in the first place.

What are you even doing? What are you even doing with yourself? With your life?

We only have so much time in our life. And you know it. And just considering current events in light of that . .

(Sigh) . . . . . Say, the sunset looks kind of nice doesn’t it? . . . Yep . .

But alas, I don’t know what else to tell you, or say to you. Looks like we’re just going to end up sitting down after we get tired of walking and talking, and daydream the rest of the day away . . as always . . . . Yup . . . . .

“Who are you talking to?” asks a voice from not too far away. “And why are you pacing back and forth from the kitchen to the front door?”

“Oh, um – sorry Stepmother. Just talking to myself as I walk again . . walking helps me think.

“Ohh sweetie . .” she replied in an underwhelming tone. “(Sigh), never mind. Sylvie called me and told me that she might have found you another friend! Isn’t that exciting?”
